ABOUT

Briar Rose Farm is a small family farm. We began operations in 2000 with a small flock of sheep. Slowly over the years we have grown to include laying hens, pasture raised poultry, turkey, dairy and beef cattle.

We believe in sustainability and ethical low stress animal handling. Our animals enjoy their lives in open spaces with shelter from the summer sun and the winter rains. We pride ourselves in providing our animals with the highest standard of care in order to bring healthy quality foods from our farm to your table.

Dave

Chief Gardener

With just his "little" garden, Dave provides an abundance of heirloom and hybrid tomatoes (even into November, some years), cooking pumpkins, several varieties of winter and summer squashes and peppers.

Jane & Lacy

Head Shepherd & Top Dog

Behind (and sometimes ahead) of every farmer is a good stock dog. Jane enjoys bringing quality, locally grown meat and vegetables to the local community with the "help" of her twin grand daughters. Lacy enjoys moving sheep, turkeys and chickens and sleeping in the recliner.

Maggie

Bad Influence

Maggie is the mother of twins and works full time for the Forest Service.  In her "spare" time, she enjoys reading and coming up with good ideas for the farm. She passes these to the Head Shepherd and Chief Gardner (then she goes to work off the farm).
